Argos ComplaintsArgos was founded in 1973 by Richard Tompkins, the man who had brought the Green Shield stamps to the UK. Argos championed catalogue shopping on the high street. By the early 1990s Argos was using bigger town and city centre stores to provide a larger showroom space. In 2006 it became part of the Home Retail group, and with 750 stores, retains a sizeable presence in the town centres of the UK. In 2010 these stores went through a program of refurbishment and modernisation. The addition of its online shop at offering its vast range of products has increased accessibility further.

The product catalogue is still the hub of an in-store visit, either the paper version, or touch screen ones. The product ranges include clothing, home and garden, toys, jewellery, sports and leisure, and technology. Select your items, check they are in stock on the keypad by the catalogue, and then pay at the customer services tills. The product will be brought from the attached warehouse for you to take away. For large items in particular, Argos customer services has a home delivery service. Another customer service that Argos provide is a 30 day money back guarantee on most items. Argos complaints can be contacted if this is not a satisfactory outcome. For the more technologically minded, QR codes are available in the catalogues to scan on a smartphone, which links to the Argos mobile site and provides more information on the product.
